I got the nod yesterday evening that we are starting another rush job. ‘Only’ 10 pages this time, but for whatever reason, it is to be live by Monday. I’ve not been told why a builder suddenly wants to document their business on a website and why that needs to be done in 2 working days (today and tomorrow), but that is the challenge.

Lots of pictures will be going onto this site. I think the inner pages will be photos of the builder’s own work, but the home page will be professional stock photography, to excite up the site a lot.

All that I’ve been told so far is that the business owner is not getting as much traffic as they would like, probably because of this recession we all keep hearing about, and he wants to advertise his business more to draw in more customers.

How that relates to going live on Monday I have no idea. Whether there is some big marketing campaign starting that this will accompany, such as radio adverts or a big leaflet drop, no one has told me. Can not be adverts in the local press, which is another good idea, as they are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Maybe someone will tell me what is going on sometime and I will understand the rush. Until then, I just have to put together a nice looking site, in double quick time!

On with the work!
